WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Police Force has arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with an ongoing stalking investigation. The suspect, born in the United States, was taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the police station, according to a statement from Korps Politie Curaçao.
The arrest was carried out on the order of a public prosecutor from the Public Prosecution Service.
Following his detention, the man was brought before an assistant public prosecutor, who ordered that he remain in custody pending further investigation. Police officials say they are continuing to gather information to fully establish the circumstances of the case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
