WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao police have arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the assault of a young woman that occurred on September 12 of this year. The incident took place inside a residence on Bronsweg.
The suspect, identified by his initials C.R.W. and born in South Africa, was detained on Tuesday after presenting himself at the police station. His arrest was carried out on the order of a public prosecutor from the Public Prosecution Service of Curaçao.
Following his arrest, the man was brought before an assistant prosecutor, who ruled that he will remain in provisional detention while the investigation continues.
Authorities continue to gather information to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the case.
