Curaçao Ports Authority remains complying with port security code

Local | By Correspondent July 26, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - According to the ISPS code, which stands for International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, the certificate of port security plans, including an evacuation plan, must be renewed every five years.

This means that the certificates of all facilities in the port that fall under Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) must be reassessed to see whether the ISPS code is again complied with for a period of five years.
After the ISPS committee examined the safety and evacuation plan of all facilities, it was approved and the ISPS certificate has been submitted again for a period of five years, which will last until 2024.
