WILLEMSTAD - In her role as Minister of Public Health Zita Jesus-Leito declared during a recently held press conference that Curaçao is prepared in case there are more corona infections. Last night, the government announced that two more local corona infections were registered, but according to Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth this was to be expected.
Of these two, one belongs to a group of people that had previously tested positive. The other one is a case on its own. It is not known where this person was infected. Gerstenbluth expects more infections to follow, but stricter measures are not necessary for the time being.
The IC capacity has been scaled up for this.
