Local | By Correspondent September 7, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao prohibits birthday parties and other social activities that are celebrated at home. In addition, wearing mouth masks is recommended, especially in public spaces. Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath announced this on Saturday afternoon.

The Prime Minister also called upon employers to allow employees to work from home wherever possible. Ten new corona infections were registered on the island on Monday September 7, 2020. This means that the number of infections has increased from 92 to 102 people.

According to Rhuggenaath, it seems that many infections are transmitted during family celebrations. They are now banned. Previously, all dance and music activities were stopped and discotheques were closed.
