Curaçao spends 100 million less

Local | By Correspondent March 4, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao has spent 100 million less in the last two years. In 2017 it was more than 1,750 million, in 2019 this was only 1650 million.

The Committee for Financial Supervision (CFT) has calculated this. The CFT considers this a meaningful step but believes that an even greater cut in expenditures is needed in the coming years.

The CFT also rejects the loan request of 31.5 million that Curaçao made in December, because the budget did not meet the requirements that year.
