WILLEMSTAD - The installation of traffic cameras will start at different locations at the beginning of 2020. Minister of Justice Quincy Girigorie announced this today.
The cameras will be placed at 17 locations, including the Helmin Wiels Boulevard and the Weg naar Westpunt (road to the western side of the island). The License Plate Liability Act must also be introduced, which is currently in the final official phase, says Girigorie.
If everything goes according to plan, the penalties for violations recorded through the cameras must also start in the coming year.
