WILLEMSTAD - The provisional detention of the couple who abducted an intern has been extended by 8 days. The examining magistrate made that decision on Wednesday.
On August 25, the couple kidnapped a girl from the Caracasbaaiweg and forced her to withdraw money at ATM’s in two places. After this, they pushed her off the rocks with her hands and feet tied. Yesterday they told the judge that they needed the money for their baby.
The woman denied being involved in pushing the girl from the rocks, the man acknowledged everything. The Public Prosecution Service suspects them of kidnapping, assault and attempted murder.
