WILLEMSTAD - In the new year, the Daily Meal Program Foundation will focus on the self-reliance of the customers of the food aid program. The foundation says it will enter a new phase in 2023.
The meal provision and the neighborhood vegetable garden of the Daily Meal Program will continue because there is still hunger in Curaçao. In 2023, community lunches with a tour of the neighborhood will be offered for a fee. In addition, the first large bazaar will be organized in March where local residents can sell their own products.
The Daily Meal Program Foundation is completely dependent on private donations and indicates that it still needs a lot of help. The foundation cooks three days a week for the low-income population in the Wishi/Marchena district.
