WILLEMSTAD - The bill proposal for the standardization of top incomes, as it is now on the table, has many negative consequences. This is according to the Director of the utility company Aqualectra Darick Jonis says during the follow-up of the technical briefings to the Members of Parliament.
According to Jonis, the standardization of top incomes results in a reduction in purchasing power for all employees of the entities. The new law would also disrupt the growth process within the companies. According to the Aqualectra director, this leads to macro-economic consequences, which, according to Jonis, should be investigated by the government.
The technical briefing for top earners resumed on Tuesday at a meeting of the central committee. The briefing was suspended last month due to the recess.
