DC-ANSP and Unions Sign New Collective Labor Agreement Through 2027

Local | By Correspondent January 12, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The management of DC-ANSP and labor unions CURATCA and ABVO signed a new collective labor agreement last Thursday, covering the period from 2025 through 2027. With the signing, lengthy negotiations at the organization responsible for air traffic control in Curaçao have formally concluded.

The talks lasted more than a year and were described by those involved as challenging. Despite the difficult process, both management and the unions stated that the final outcome is acceptable to all parties. The agreement was signed at the Renaissance Resort in the presence of the supervisory board, management, staff members, union representatives, and Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning Charles Cooper.

Minister Cooper explained that the government, in line with the principles of good governance, does not intervene in the substance of collective labor negotiations. According to him, the government was only informed once management, the supervisory board, and employees had reached agreement.

The minister noted that the new collective labor agreement provides an important foundation for stability and continuity within DC-ANSP, which plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of air traffic in and around Curaçao.
