WILLEMSTAD - In the historic Kura Hulanda Village, part of Curaçao’s UNESCO World Heritage site, fashion boutique De-Vi Exclusive recently hosted an exclusive fashion show to celebrate the official opening of its second store and to present its latest collections.
The event was organized by owner Devi van der Pol, who has been living on Curaçao since 2018. She opened her first De-Vi Exclusive boutique at Kura Hulanda Village in 2023. More than 70 invited guests attended the show, all seated front row on golden chairs, creating an intimate and refined setting. The evening was enhanced by live musical performances from 15-year-old singer Kiran Croes, whose voice added a warm and personal atmosphere to the presentation.
The fashion show featured a wide range of styles and brands, showcasing cross-cultural and ethnic influences, retro revival looks, as well as romantic, soft and feminine designs. Collections were marked by delicate lace details, rich fabrics, a broad palette of colors and striking prints. For women, designs from brands such as Farm Rio, Veronica Beard, Mes Demoiselles Paris, Semicouture, Antik Batik, Circus Hotel, Pinko and Suncoo were presented. The men’s collections included pieces from Xacus, Briglia 1949, Filippo d’Laurentiis and Mr Mood.
The standout of the evening was the highly exclusive collection by Samantha Sung. The designer is known for creating feminine silhouettes inspired by 1940s vintage fashion, combined with modern, hand-drawn prints. Her airy dresses, made from materials such as cotton and muslin, are recognizable for their elegant shapes. Each print is designed by Sung herself, and only one piece of each design is available in the store, underlining the exclusivity of the collection.
The overarching theme of the show was personal empowerment and the freedom to be fully oneself. The message was clear: beauty comes in many forms, and everyone deserves to be seen, appreciated and celebrated. Van der Pol is known not only for her passion for fashion, but also for using fashion as a tool to inspire confidence, pride and individuality.
Following the show, guests were invited to enjoy refreshments and had the opportunity to visit the new De-Vi Exclusive boutique, where the showcased pieces were immediately available for purchase.
