WILLEMSTAD - Insurance company ENNIA was visited by a series of debt collectors yesterday. Several sources talk about "a battalion" of debt collectors.
As is known, an emergency regulation was announced for ENNIA by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten more than two years ago.
Several lawsuits are currently pending against the 94-year-old owner of ENNIA, Iranian / American businessman Hushang Ansary. This is currently taking place at the court in New York.
In addition, there are several outstanding bills in Curaçao.
