WILLEMSTAD - The defective traffic lights at Julianaplein and Abraham de Veerstraat will soon be repaired. Today the parts for the traffic lights arrive in Curaçao. This was announced by Charles Cooper, Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP) in a post on his social media.
The traffic lights have been defective for some time. This creates an unsafe traffic situation. If all goes well, customs will release the parts this week. Then, at the end of next week, a start should be made on the repairing the lights, according to the minister on Facebook.
