WILLEMSTAD - On March 9, a delegation of the National Committee for May 4 and 5 visited the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George Wout. The delegation consisted of Mrs. Julia Sarbo, Mr. Cristan van Emden and Mrs. Saskia Luckmann Meijer.
During the visit, they discussed, among other things, the Caribbean Commemoration Book, which was developed for education in the Caribbean countries. With the help of this book, the committee will talk to students about the themes of commemoration and freedom. The preparation of the Freedom Meals / Mesa di Pas that will also take place in Curaçao this year was also discussed. Both activities aim to promote awareness about the importance of freedom.
