WILLEMSTAD - Liezelot de Palm-Braaf, director of the Betèsda nursing home has been fired. Betèsda's lawyer says the working relationship between the director and the staff was not on good terms and that “it could no longer continue like this.”
Betèsda says it needs some rest to focus on improving care. De Palm-Braaf was totally surprised when she heard that she was dismissed. Now she wants to challenge that decision in court.
Judella Mariella Paula has been appointed as acting director in the meantime.
