WILLEMSTAD, LA VELA - On January 17, 2022, a meeting was held between the Deputy Director of the Curaçao Tourist Board Mr. Hugo Clarinda, Ives Marcano of the Falcon Tourism Authority, Pedro Chacon representing the Santos Inocentes de La Vela Cultural Foundation and Juan Gotopo from the Chamber of Commerce of La Vela, Venezuela.
Important issues were addressed for a strategic alliance between Curaçao and Venezuela. The partners also discussed the possible visit of a Venezuelan delegation to the Island and the opening of the Curaçao-Venezuela border. There are negotiations taking place to reopen the border and according to the participants of the meeting, they are already discussing tourism, cultural and commercial relations between the two countries.
