Dissatisfaction with standardization of top incomes

Local | By Correspondent June 22, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The boards of various government companies have expressed their dissatisfaction with the new standard for top incomes in a letter to the Council of Ministers. They agree that there is a standard, but they believe it has been calculated incorrectly.

The directors of Aqualectra, Curoil, Airport Holding, the ADC laboratories, Curinde, Social Insurance Bank (SVB), Air Traffic Control and Bureau Telecommunications & Post have checked the calculation of the new standard.

The companies concluded that the standard was “incorrectly and incompletely established”. This could be due to, among other things, the social contributions that are not included in the calculation of the amount.

According to the directors, companies are entitled to 530,000 guilders per year, more than double the current fixed salary of 263,000 guilders.
