DMO wants to digitize parking

Local | By Correspondent January 5, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Downtown Management Organization (DMO) wants to digitize parking in the city center. The interest group of retailers in Punda wants to prevent wheel clamps from being used.

In addition, the city visitor could pay with his telephone. The digital fines are then written out on the number plate and not on the parking lot as is the case now.

The money that is collected must be reinvested in the city center. Now, according to DMO, it disappears in the pockets of certain people, not even the government, let alone that the money is used for Punda itself.
