WILLEMSTAD - The DOEN Foundation will talk to the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport Sithree van Heydoorn (MFK) on Monday.
According to the representatives from education, the number of hours that teachers are prescribed is not sufficient for the work they do. According to the foundation, this causes the quality of education offered to students to deteriorate drastically and that many teachers leave.
According to DOEN, the cut of 12.5 percent on the salary also has a lot of influence on the motivation of teachers and the working conditions. The foundation will present these points to the minister and hopes to give the teachers and students the best possible start to the school year.
