WILLEMSTAD - The Public Works Department, Openbare Werken, is urging all motorists to exercise extra caution in areas where road maintenance is underway. The call comes as workers are actively carrying out repairs alongside and on public roads.
OW emphasized that road crews are exposed to traffic risks during maintenance activities and appealed to drivers to respect both the workers and the safety barriers and warning signs that have been put in place.
“Let us work together to prevent accidents,” the department stated, calling on motorists to slow down and remain alert when passing through construction and maintenance zones.
