WILLEMSTAD - Schottegatweg Zuid is blocked by angry drivers near the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO). There are buses, small vans, trucks and tow truck on the road. The drivers are angry about the increase in fuel and its poor quality.
Giovani Decaster union Sindikato Transporte Uní (STU) says in a statement that the fight against the increase in fuel prices has been going on for years. "Enough is enough now," said Decaster.
Minister of Economic Development Steven Martina (MAN) also showed up and had a brief conversation with the activists. The minister is awaiting a letter from the concerned protestors.
Police are also at the scene to maintain order.
