Drug criminal causes problems on flight from Curaçao

Local | By Correspondent October 21, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - On Tuesday, a passenger on a flight between Curacao and the Netherlands seriously misbehaved. It is a 58-year-old drug criminal from Haarlem. He displayed aggressive behavior towards his fellow travelers. In addition, he did not listen to the crew and there was a scuffle with another passenger.

The situation got so out of hand that the captain considered diverting to another airport. But decided to continue flying to the destination Schiphol. There the troublemaker was immediately arrested by the Royal Police.

The investigation into his identity revealed that the man must be in prison for another five years for a drug offense in Belgium. That is why he will enter a so-called deporting process.

KLM or TUI fly

It is not yet known which flight it was exactly, but it must have been with either KLM or TUI fly (there are no other scheduled flights between Curacao and Schiphol).
