ORANJESTAD - Dutch and American marines have dived in a joint exercise in Aruba. It was about the 'Caribbean Coastal Warrior 2022' training, which was all about tactical diving.
The Marine Squadron Carib, stationed in Aruba, hosts the American colleagues once a year. This year, the American and Dutch Marine Corps worked together on 'deepening and broadening the cooperation.' The Americans were supported by the Special Operations Forces of the Dutch Marine Corps. The Marines shared their expertise and were able to take the training partners to a higher level.
The training took place, among other places, in the quiet Commandeurs Bay, where the first training was done with an underwater scooter. This would be ideal for moving people and equipment over longer diving distances.
