The Prime Minister of Sint Maarten has asked The Hague for financial assistance. The Dutch cabinet decided on Thursday to help. Winair receives a $ 3 million loan, with the airport building as collateral.
The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Ministry of Infrastructure in The Hague are financing the loan with a total of approximately 2.7 million euros.
