Dutch political party asks again about the situation Venezuelans

Local | By Correspondent October 20, 2020

THE HAGUE - The Dutch political party D66 wants to know what the government in the Netherlands is going to do with the recommendations of the Advisory Council on International Affairs about the situation with Venezuelan foreign nationals in Curaçao.

They say that the Kingdom does have a responsibility and should not leave everything to Curaçao itself. Human rights groups say Venezuelans are denied legal aid and are being forced to sign for their deportation.

D66 wants the Undersecretary of Kingdon Relations Raymond Knops and the Dutch cabinet, together with Curaçao, to follow the recommendations from the aforementioned reports.
