WILLEMSTAD – Police carried out a series of arrests and judicial searches in the early morning hours as part of an ongoing investigation by the Organized Crime Division.
The operation began with the arrest and investigation of a bread truck along Rooseveltweg. Authorities then proceeded with multiple judicial searches in the Sta. Maria area. A judicial entry was also conducted at the residence of a well-known baseball player who is reportedly linked to the same investigation.
In total, eight people were detained during the operation: seven men and one woman. Police also confiscated four firearms as part of the investigation.
The Curaçao Police Force stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that additional official information will be released at a later stage.
