WILLEMSTAD - Chairman of the Supreme Electoral Council Raymond Römer indicated that the Electoral Council in its current form is not set up as stated in the law.
The rules of procedure have not yet been adopted and the Council does not yet have a secretariat. In addition, the Council has a deficit in funds that is not been paid out yet by the Ministry of Administration, Planning and Services (BPD). The Electoral Council will leave its office at the WTC next month.
According to Römer, the rent can no longer be paid.
