WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning has implemented an emergency plan to catch up in repairing the roads. According to the ministry, the big holes were caused by poor maintenance, because there was not enough money for this. 900,000 guilders have now been made available to accelerate the implementation of the emergency plan. Some roads will even be provided with a completely new top layer. For the time being, only the gaps will be filled on the main roads.
Today the Blomonteweg, the Granaatappelweg, Monte Carmelo, Kaya Kazerne, Bahamasweg and Haitiweg will start. Between 8 and 19 February, work is done on the road in front of Building Depot, the Kaya Jacob Posner, and at Bon Bini Minimarket on the Kaminda Brievengat. The Kaya Macario Prudencia and Kaya Pachi Bakhuis will also be repaired.
