WILLEMSTAD - Union representing healthcare workers (CBV) fears that sooner or later nursing staff will decide to emigrate. There has also been no meeting with Health Minister Dorothy Pietersz-Janga so far to discuss this issue.
CBV is not only concerned about the great pressure on local healthcare, but also about the more favorable working conditions in Bonaire. These can have an attractive effect on the healthcare staff in Curaçao. The union refers to the compensations that have been paid to healthcare staff in other countries of the Kingdom in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
