WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) will receive additional healthcare personnel from the United States and Cuba to treat patients with coronavirus.
The Netherlands pays the bill. In total, this concerns 102 extra employees in healthcare. Some will work in the former Sehos hospital, which will reopen for intensive care.
The CMC has room for 32 corona patients and the Sehos has 84 beds. The extra IC rooms are for patients from all Dutch Antilles islands. If necessary, they will come to Curaçao with extra air ambulances.
