WILLEMSTAD - The committee of inquiry investigating the new hospital needs more time. The proposal is to extend the term of the committee by one year until August 12, 2023. Nine months were not sufficient for the investigation.
A company must assist the Members of Parliament in the elaboration of the process that must be followed.
Parliament wants clarity about what went wrong during the construction and transition of the new hospital. As is known, the construction of the new hospital was delayed for many years after it was decided to move the location from the Amstel site to Otrobanda. The costs that had been budgeted were amply exceeded.
