WILLEMSTAD - Four employees of the Driver’s License Office are no longer allowed to work for the government for three years. They must also carry out community service and pay 2500 guilders fine. At least according to the demand of the public prosecutor assigned to this case.
The three officials were on trial because they delivered driving licenses on request, without passing the exam. A driving instructor who used their services expressed regret.
He said he bought the driving licenses because the waiting time for driving tests took so long. The four do not receive imprisonment because the case has taken too long to be tried.
