Fines for supermarkets and stores

Local | By Correspondent April 28, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - The multidisciplinary team of the Ministry of Economic Development and police yesterday handed out fines to several stores that did not comply with the COVID-19 regulations. According to the inspectors, customers also linger at shops after the mandatory closing time. Some businesses continue to sell products when they should be closed. This usually involves food and drink.

A mini-market on Seru Loraweg must remain closed for the time being because inspectors saw that drinks were still being sold to a group of clients after closing time. A bar/restaurant in the Semikok district has been fined for not complying with the rules. And the company Spuitinrichting Scherpenheuvel had to cease its activities yesterday because the company is not allowed to open during the lockdown according to the rules.

In addition, two truk'i pans (BBQ stands) were fined for not following the rules regarding the sale of food to customers.
