WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao fire brigade has started a home fire prevention campaign. The awareness campaign is called 'Kandela na mi kas, imposibel', or 'Fire in my house, impossible'.
As part of the campaign, the fire brigade has published a digital folder of sixteen pages. This folder contains tips for preventing fire, but also what to do if a fire actually breaks out.
In addition, it contains a lot of information about all possible hazards that can cause a fire. The reader is thus made aware of the possible dangers in the home that they have to deal with. According to the fire service, prevention is the best option.
The fire brigade had to be called sixty times last year to extinguish a fire.
