WILLEMSTAD - The first baby of the year 2022 was born on Saturday morning at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) and is called Daryon Benjiro Celestina Roosenhoff. The parents are Divinne Celestina and the proud mother Rueshandra Roosenhoff.
Daryon was born at 5:44 AM and weighed 3,040 grams and was 47 cm tall.
In 2018 and 2019, 1,680 and 1,583 babies were born, respectively. The birth rate of 2020 has not yet been given by the Central Bureau of Statistics. But the number has been declining for years.
