First humanitarian goods delivered to Venezuela through the red cross

Local | By Correspondent April 17, 2019

CARACAS, WILLEMSTAD - For the first time since the outbreak of the crisis in Venezuela, the Red Cross delivered humanitarian supplies to the ailing country. An aid convoy with medicines and other medical supplies arrived at Caracas airport yesterday.

The relief organization also sent fourteen generators to be able to cope with the continuous power outages. The items were taken from the airport to hospitals. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro held off aid for a long time because, according to him, there is no humanitarian crisis in his country. According to him, that would only be propaganda from the opposition.
