WILLEMSTAD - Angelino Tromp is the first Medical Molecular Microbiologist to come to Curaçao. Tromp starts working at Medical Laboratory Services.

The microbiologist graduated from Radulphus College and left Curaçao in 2007 to study microbiology in the Netherlands. His ultimate wish was to be able to do something for his roots, the islands in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
In 15 years of studying, Tromp obtained a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, a PhD and two postgraduate specializations. Now, according to the Curaçao citizen, it is time to go back to his island.
Tomp says he is delighted to join Medical Laboratory Services as the first Medical Molecular Microbiologist from and in the Caribbean. He is looking forward to providing the best diagnostics and care to the population together with local and regional institutes and experts.
