WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao had to deal with a lot of wind and rain yesterday. As a result, several trees and electricity poles fell. A fisherman also died at Westpunt because of the rough seas on the southern side of the island.

According to witnesses, the fisherman trying to get his boat out of the water but ran into trouble due to high waves. He jumped out of his boat when another vessel came to the rescue. But it was impossible for his rescuers to get him out of the water.
Other medias reported that KLM aircraft could not land at Hato Airport yesterday afternoon due to bad weather. The aircraft had to divert to Bonaire. With a delay of an hour, it arrived at 7 pm at Hato.
