WILLEMSTAD - Residents blocked the road to Playa Piskado with fishing boats last weekend. They did this because they are tired of the hordes of visitors. Every day large groups go to the beach at Westpunt to view the turtles.
These visitors disturb the fishermen in their work and dangerous situations arise. The parking behavior of tourists also causes considerable frustration. The neighborhood has been dissatisfied for some time and does not feel heard. They want to attract the attention of the government with the campaign.
