WILLEMSTAD - Addiction organization Fundashon pa Maneho di Adikshon (FMA) is launching the campaign "Si bo ta riba VAPE; kidou bo n’ pèrdè SHAPE," which translates to "if you vape, don't lose your shape." The foundation aims to warn particularly young people about the dangers of using vape pens.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the negative impact on the healthy development of young individuals.
According to recent research by FMA, 16 percent of young people in Curaçao have a vape pen, and 41 percent have used it in the past six months. FMA emphasizes that even children as young as 10 are experimenting with vape pens.
The foundation calls on the government to enact legislation to prohibit the sale and use of vape pens among minors.
