WILLEMSTAD - The Food Bank has switched to using a call center via Whatsapp number +5999 529-1919.
The number of applications was so great that part of it could not be processed in time. 350 applications were received daily. That has now dropped to 100.
The call center has 29 trained volunteers who work in shifts. The food bank makes 2,500 packages a week. A family of four can eat for two weeks. Nearly 8,000 food packages have been delivered to date.
