WILLEMSTAD - For the second day in a row, the inspectorate of the Ministry of Economic Development has found spoiled products at a food importer at Amerikankamp.
On Tuesday, the inspection already found 4600 kilos of products that were past their best-before date. This equaled at least 25 pallets of food. On Wednesday, the inspection went back and discovered 28 to 30 pallets with spoiled food. All products are destroyed.
There is no word yet on the fine that the owner will receive. It seems that in addition to the spoiled products, there are even more violations at the importer. Ronny Cornelis of the ministry will be able to say more about this after the investigation has been completed.
