WILLEMSTAD - A spokesperson for the Dutch Ministry of Health reported on Dutch television yesterday that there is no advice yet to go to code orange for Curaçao. Since Curaçao was excluded by the Dutch cabinet from negative travel advice abroad, the Dutch media continues to ask whether this is sensible. Especially now that the number of infections is increasing.
The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf already wrote on Monday that the enthusiasm to go on holiday to Curaçao is diminishing. Nevertheless, both TUI and Corendon state in the newspaper that no cancellations have been received from people who do not want to make the trip to Curaçao.
Curaçao Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath said when asked that Dutch tourists are still welcome on the island.
