WILLEMSTAD - Forensys thinks that alcohol is involved in 1 percent of traffic accidents in Curaçao. The roadside assistance company comes to that judgment based on its own observation.
The police are not normally involved after traffic accidents, only when there are deaths or injuries, and they check for alcohol.
The high number of unilateral accidents may indicate more frequent use of alcohol behind the wheel. Almost one in five accidents involves just one car.
