WILLEMSTAD - Enough was enough for Neysa Schoop-Isenia. She has had enough of all the allegations and wanted a rectification that did not happen. If she had continued pursuing the function of minister, she would not have been able to file a complaint against the director of the Central Bank Leila Matroos-Lasten.
As a Minister of Economic Development, according to the Isenia’s lawyer, it is not appropriate to file a lawsuit against a director of the Central Bank.
Counsel Michael Bonaparte explains that Isenia found out that an internal document was circulating about her at the Central Bank that had not been seen by her. According to the lawyer, the question is why the Central Bank tried to influence the screening process by introducing the internal document.
This was done by an email from Matroos-Lasten to Finance Minister Kenneth Gijsbertha. According to the lawyer, this is a 5-year prison sentence. According to Bonaparte there will be a lawsuit.
