Former director of admission hears higher sentence

Local | By Correspondent March 1, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Recently Esther Cheri received a higher sentence on appeal than was the case by the court in First Instance.

The former head of the Admissions Organization (Immigration) was then given a community service of 100 hours and removal from office for a period of two years. Another year has now been added.

Cheri has, according to the court, been guilty of, among other things, abuse of her official position by arranging permits for Venezuelans who had to renovate her house.
