WILLEMSTAD - Eric Garcia does not have to go back to prison for the time being. This was requested by the Public Prosecution Service (OM).
The former Giro Bank director was sentenced to four years in prison, but due to ill health he was placed under house arrest.
But the prosecution thinks Garcia is not too sick preventing him from returning to the SDKK prison and that is why they demanded this in court. But a definite answer was not forthcoming.
Much of the Probation Service has been dealing with Covid infections and it was therefore difficult to write a report. The case will be re-examined on 11 February.
