WILLEMSTAD - The Foundation for Restoration of War Victims Curaçao is pleased with the gesture of the Netherlands regarding the April murders of 1942.
But the gesture is only a step towards full reparation and recognition that the 15 Chinese who died in Curaçao are victims of war. The Netherlands does not want to go that far again.
In 2013, such a request was already set aside. The records were released on January 1 of this year after 75 years.
