WILLEMSTAD - Four officers suspected of corruption have been detained in the SDKK prison on Saturday afternoon. They are in detention awaiting the hearing of their case. The four officers are held in a special ward.
At first, they were released from prison on Saturday morning. But after the intervention of the Public Prosecution Service and the police inspector, they were detained again in the afternoon.
The four are suspected of theft which took place in September and October last year. These officers stole money and drugs during house searches. The four are also suspected of having abused their office. The four had previously been detained but were released on parole in March. However, the Court ruled at the end of April that the four - like other suspects - must be behind bars awaiting their case.
